My name is Doug Joachim and I’ve been providing in-home personal training in NYC for over 25 years. I have an evidence-based approach to fitness. As a master trainer, I take a systemic and holistic approach to human performance, and I strive to give people the tools they need to perform better, prevent injuries, and increase the functional level of activities in everyday life.

 

I specifically look for the most effective, efficient and exciting program for every client. Depending on his/her background, goals and safety concerns, any hybrid of these smart personal training protocols can be implemented: Core Training; Senior Fitness; Stabilization/Balance Training; Post-Rehabilitation; Injury Prevention; Flexibility/; Strength Training; Pre/post-Natal Fitness, and/or Sports-Specific & Golf Training. Voted as one of the best personal trainers in NYC, I am committed to making sure each of my clients attain their goals smartly and safely.

I don’t accept the “No Pain, No Gain” dogma. I am not a drill sergeant. Evidence-based and intelligent program design should take you out of your comfort zone without being unpleasant. Be smart with your time and training “No Brain, No Gain!”
